The Boat

Blue Dancer is a 1989 Moody 425 designed by Bill Dixon (Who in addition to designing the range of Moody yachts is the designer behind the current Hylas 57).

Dock

After several years of research she is the boat that we decided is perfect for us!

She offers a comfortable protected centre cockpit for on passage and incredible accommodation for a 42 footer including a huge master bedroom aft, a good size double v berth and twin passage berths between the saloon and aft cabin.

Her deck layout is clean and functional and all Moody 425’s were fitted with in-mast furling as standard from new which makes her easy to sail shorthanded.

She is solidly contructed to Lloyds specifications with a deck hull joint is through bolted and all the internal bulkheads are glassed in place.

Our boat has crossed the Atlantic twice and has been looked after well by her previous owners.

Our previous boat in which we cruised several thousand nautical miles with our young daughter onboard was a Martzcraft 35 Iolanthe.
