Cruising Dad on Sailnet first recommended these lifejackets to us. Sadly they were not available here in Australia, but after some emails back and forth the folk at Mustang were happy to send us a couple at what was a very reasonable cost.

Sophie is off to the bakery for Loukoumades while I’m fending off a couple charter boats! We are looking forward to getting back out there. #throwbackthursday #kids4sailOne of the most important things I learnt as a sailor was the ability to heave to in a storm. For non sailors this is a manoeuvre where when faced with adverse winds you set the sails such that the boat is no longer making forward progress but is now safe and calm. For the moment we are hove to. While we are currently unable to get back to our beloved boat in Greece, we are safe, healthy and in good spirits isolating here in Australia. We have much to smile about and be thankful for while waiting for a time when we will again be sailing.
